Renaissance Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

The life of your tattoo is dependant upon the care it receives in the first few days!

The aftercare of your new tattoo is extremely important! Your tattoo has been applied in a professional and sterile manner and should be healed responsibly.

Remove bandage in 2 to 4 hours - overnight if applied late. Do not re-bandage!

Gently wash tattoo with mild soap and water twice daily, pat dry with clean towel.

Apply a very small amount of Vitamin A&D ointment (not cream) 2 to 3 times daily. gently rub ointment into the tattoo to keep it moist, enough to make your skin feel a little greasy, but not so much that its clearly visible. Do Not over apply the ointment!!!

For the first 2 weeks, keep tattoo out of direct sunlight and tanning beds.

Do not immerse the tattoo in water, such as hot tubs, lakes, and swimming pools. Showers are fine, just don't let the tattoo soak.

If any light scabbing occurs, do not pick or scratch! keep applying ointment as long as there is any scabbing.

Your tattoo should heal in 10 - 14 days if you follow these simple rules.

Remember - it's as much your responsibility to insure your tattoo looks great as it is ours!
